English is known to be one of the toughest languages to master - even when it's your native tongue. Luckily with this great challenge comes many resources, and even many now specifically geared towards those learning English as a Second Language (ESL) in the hospitality industry!
Philadelphia Resources:
- Nationalities Service Center - NSC’s Refugee and Community Integration (RCI) department provides a wide-range of services to meet the needs of newly arriving refugees, victims of human trafficking and unaccompanied children.
- Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians - The center provides English and Adult Education classes for immigrants, other English Language Learners, and those interested in improving their skills or earning credentials for employment or post-secondary education. Most of our services are provided free of charge, or at low cost.
