Founder and CEO of RAMONA

The best indication that someone is right for our team is that they care deeply about being part of it. Caring is the best attitude! Work ethic is critical too. Everything else can be taught.

EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
What you put into this industry is what you get out! Invest in your own education and in the community.
Be an excellent listener. Listen to what the guest means, not necessarily what they say. And if you are unclear on what they want, ask follow-up questions.
Educate constantly and make sure your team has the tools they need in order to be great. For wines by the glass, taste as a group regularly. Build in the time to organize for education and inspiration. Bring in other professionals and points of view.
I am most inspired after connecting with others who inspire me. Sometimes this is my team, sometimes it's one of our investors, other times it’s my husband, a friend, a mentor.
I am currently obsessed with podcasts - those ‘aspirational friends’ if you will. Oprah’s Master Class podcast is a current favorite as is Guy Raz’s How I Built This. There are lessons from every industry that apply to ours.
