How does Culinary Agents differ from other job posting sites?

Culinary Agents’ goal is to connect the industry. While we offer a robust job board across the US and globally, the automatic distribution, applicant matching, management and messaging system really sets us apart from other posting sites. Unique features and functions we offer to both talent and businesses make our user experience much more hospitable, and we take hospitality very seriously. :)
How much does it cost to join and post jobs?

Personal and Business profiles are FREE. You must have a personal profile in order to claim a business profile and post jobs.

Create a free personal profile which will also act as your digital resume. Search and select the job you wish to apply to and click the “Apply Now” button. Include a cover letter if you choose to, edit your profile / resume as you wish and then click “Submit Application”.
How do I get “matched” to jobs?

Keep your profile updated, include past positions and highlight your skills and any education and certifications you have completed. The more information you include, the more likely you are to match to jobs.
I found a job, how do I stop “matching” to jobs?

Go to your “Personal Settings” by clicking on your avatar on the top.

Go to the “Job Preferences” tab and check “Don’t match me to any jobs”.
How do I unsubscribe from email notifications?

Go to your “Settings and Privacy” by clicking on your avatar on the top.
- Select "Notifications" from the side menu.

Click on the individual notification sections (e.g., Messages, Jobs, Events, Networking, Marketplace, Newsletter) to adjust your preferences.
Note: Selecting "Unsubscribe me from all newsletters" will not unsubscribe you from other notifications (e.g., Messages, Jobs, Events, Networking, Marketplace), to make these updates click on the individual sections and toggle "off."

To attach your resume as a file, after you click on a job, the application will have a section where you can upload your resume. Follow these steps to attach a resume:
- Click on “Upload File”
- Check the box for either option: “Keep this resume on file for future use.” OR “Update my profile with details from my resume so I can receive more Job Matches”
- Complete the remaining sections of the application
- Click “Submit Application” -
Alternatively, you can upload and save your resume for future use with these steps:
- Click “Settings” from your dropdown menu
- Click “Job Preferences”
- Click “Upload File”
- Select the file and click “Open”

How do I follow-up on an application?

To view all your active and past job applications, go to your “Applications” by clicking on your avatar at the top.

All the jobs you applied to are there, as well as a message interface for you to reach out to the business hiring manager.
Can I block a user from messaging me?

Blocking unwanted messages is easy. Go to your “Personal Settings” by clicking on your avatar on the top.

Click on the “Privacy” tab. There is a section where you can add users to Block by either email or name.

On Culinary Agents, a connection is someone you know in the real world.
- A connection is established when both members agree on Culinary Agents that they know each other.

Once a connection is established, you can message with each other as well as see additional information you want to share and vice versa.
How do I message another user?

You cannot message with another person on Culinary Agents unless you have connected with the other Culinary Agents member.

If you ever forget your password, you can reset it via https://culinaryagents.com/users/password/new.
How can I delete/disable my account?

Disabling your account, will remove your profile information from CulinaryAgents.com. To do so, submit your request via this form. Please allow for up to two business days for your request to process.

How much does a job post cost?

Job posts are free. If you wish to have your job distributed to the Culinary Agents job board and network you will need to place a job ad for the job post. For pricing and feature highlights click here.
What is the difference between a job post and a job ad?

Job posts are free and will appear on your business profile on Culinary Agents, allowing you to utilize our suite of free tools to manage your applicants in one place. Distribution to the Culinary Agents job board and network are not included with job posts.
- Job ads allow you to promote specific job posts and have them distributed to our job board and our exclusive talent network as well to other major job boards and 500+ partner sites. We’ll also queue up potential candidates for each job with our AI-powered matching feature. For pricing and feature highlights click here.

Single Job Ads, Job Ad Packs and Job Boosts are not eligible for refunds.
- Refund requests for recurring monthly subscription plans are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- The maximum refund issued per business is $300 and/or up to three months of inactivity.

How long is my post active and what happens after?
-
For Full-Time, Part-Time, Seasonal, Internship and Externships: the job post is active for 30 days.
- For Gigs: the job post is active for 30 days or if the date of the gig is sooner, the post will expire the day after the final gig date.
- You may close out your job anytime within the 30 days if you wish to remove it from the active listings. Upon closing your post, update the number of candidates hired to improve the accuracy of your Job Performance Report.
- When your post expires, it will be saved in the “Archived” jobs. There you’ll be able to access past posts and their applicants, matches and messaging for future viewing.

Expired jobs that have been archived can be easily found and reposted from your business dashboard.
How can I print an applicant’s resume?

You may export a candidate’s resume to PDF if you want a hard copy or would like to share it with other team members via email.
Why are some profiles more complete than others?

Culinary Agents encourages candidates to share as much experience and information as possible to position themselves favorably for a job, however it is not required.

Employers may message potential candidates directly to request more information.
Can candidates apply to my jobs even if they don’t match?

Yes.
How long does it take to get matches/applicants?
-
Matches happen as soon as your post is live and applicants typically will come in over the course of the 30 days.

To edit job titles, submit your request to our Support Team. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis according to the following parameters.
- Requests Eligible for Job Title Changes:
- Spelling/punctuation errors
- Erroneous title within 24 hours of post date
- A similar title within 5 days of post date -
Requests Ineligible for a Job Title Change:
- Posts that have already been active for 5+ days
- A completely different job title

You can easily re-post a job from your Expired Jobs by clicking the repost button associated with the job.
- Log into your Personal Profile
- Go to "My Business"
- Click "Expired Jobs" shortcut or link located next to the list of open jobs
- Select the past job to repost/edit and repost

For businesses subscribed to group plans, the "Auto-Repost" feature can be activated on the job post form.
What if I close out the position, and my new hire doesn’t work out?

You may close and reopen job posts within your 30 day window at no extra charge.
How do I view my applicants and matches?

Go to “My Business” on the top to access your business dashboard.
- If a job is assigned to you, you will see it under “My Assigned Jobs” on the right pane.

If a job is not assigned to you, click on “Jobs” on the left pane for the respective business.
How do I invite other people to help manage the applicants and matches?

You may add managers and admins to your business page and assign job posts to them by clicking on “Team” from the business dashboard and inviting the team member to your business account.
How can I best highlight my whole restaurant group on Culinary Agents?

Management Group profiles allow you to show the breadth of your business and brand. It allows potential candidates to search positions across only your businesses and locations. If you are interested in a Management Group profile please send an email to our Support Team with “Management Group” as the subject.

Included with a Management Group plan is the “I Want to Work Here” feature. This button is automatically added to your business profile and job details pages, and allows talent to directly express interest in working for your business. You can collect resumes even when you’re not hiring.
How can I upgrade from Basic ATS to a monthly subscription plan?

You can upgrade to one of our monthly subscription plans at any time.
- Go to your billing tab and then click on the “Change Plan” button on the right-hand side of the screen.

How can I cancel my monthly subscription?
- Login to your account
- Click on "My Business" from the top menu
- Click on the "Billing" link for the business you want to update on the left of the page
- Click on "Change Plan"
- Click "Select" on the Basic ATS (which allows you to post jobs for free and provides free tools) to unsubscribe from the monthly auto-renewal plan
- (Optional) Enter the reason: "Why are you cancelling your subscription?"
- Click "Submit"
How can I get an invoice/receipt for my transaction?

You can find all your transaction information under your business dashboards billing tab. There, you can find out the amount of charge, date of charge, print off invoices and receipts for your record, and change billing methods.
How do I unsubscribe from email notifications?

How do I get my event on Culinary Agents’ Industry Events Calendar?

For Hiring Events (e.g., Open Call, Job Fair), follow the steps below.
1. Log into your account
2. Click "Post Jobs"
3. Create a job post with the title "Open Call"
4. List the event information (e.g., date/time/location) in the Job Details
5. Place a job ad if you wish to have your hiring event promoted via our distribution network and to appear on our Events Calendar
(As a best practice we recommend creating the post at least 1 week in advance so that candidates are able to plan to attend.) -
For Other Events: email [email protected] with the following information:
- General information about the event (e.g., time, place, price, etc.)
- A link to the event website page
Events should be industry-focused. If the event is approved for inclusion, it will be added on the calendar.
- Events posted on our Calendar are also included in our Events email sent to those who have subscribed to each specific city's events -- making it a great way to target local hospitality professionals.

How do I make an anonymous job ad?

Anonymous job ads are only available for businesses with a monthly subscription plan.
How do I add an award to my business profile?

Awards are created by Culinary Agents. We keep a database of several prominent awards.
- We currently support Michelin stars, World’s 50 Best, James Beard, La Liste and Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.
- Business have the option to show / hide any awards assigned to their business profile.

How do I add leadership to my business profile?

Go to “My Business” on the top to access your business dashboard.
- Go to the “Profile” link for your business.

Under the “Leadership” section, you can edit and add businesses.
What video formats are supported in my business profile?

Currently, we support videos uploaded to Youtube or Vimeo.
Can I use credits from my Job Ad Pack on more than one business profile?

No, job ad credits cannot be shared between business profiles.

Job Ad Packs expire 6 months from purchase date and are non-refundable.
Can I use job ad credits from my Monthly Subscription on more than one business profile?

No, a Monthly Subscription cannot be shared between business profiles.
Can I pay with an international credit card (non-US)?

Yes, you may pay with credit cards linked to non-US backed banks. To do so, enter the two-letter country code before entering your card number.
