We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Floor Manager to join our management team. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, detail-oriented leader with strong, empathetic instincts, a genuine point of view on hospitality, and a fully hands-on approach to service.
About the Role
The Floor Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for leading front-of-house operations during service — supporting the team, holding the standard, and ensuring seamless communication between the dining room, bar, host stand, and kitchen. This is a highly guest-facing role that rewards presence, composure, and sound judgment on a busy floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee front-of-house service during assigned shifts, across the dining room and Wallace Room
- Be a visible, steadying presence on the floor, supporting servers, bartenders, runners, and hosts
- Manage pacing, seating flow, and reservations in close coordination with the host team
- Drive guest satisfaction through attentive table touches and confident, proactive service recovery
- Uphold service standards, cleanliness, and the overall presentation of the dining room and bar
- Support staff training, coaching, and day-to-day performance feedback
- Communicate clearly with the General Manager, kitchen, and bar teams to keep service seamless
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and shift reporting
- Uphold all health, safety, and service protocols
Qualifications
- 2+ years of floor management or supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant
- Strong command of front-of-house operations and service standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- NYC Food Handler's License (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Full open availability, Monday through Sunday, including evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays as needed
- Willingness to work 50+ hours per week
- Able to lift 50+ lbs
