Job Description
The Sushi Chef/Sushi Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty menu items with precision, speed, and consistency. This role follows strict food safety standards, maintains a clean and organized station, and ensures all sushi is visually appealing and crafted to brand specifications.
Requirements + Certifications
- Be on time, ready to work

- Maintaining company standards & ServSafe Certified
- Deliver consistent quality and presentation during high-volume service
- Prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Execute precise knife work and maintain proper portion control
Qualifications
- Experience in sushi preparation and knife handling
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and plating precision
- Understanding of food safety and raw-fish handling standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Professional, calm, and team-oriented attitude
Scheduling:
- Involves constant public contact. The work environment is subject to varying levels of high energy, loud noise, crowds and pace, which depends upon guest volume.
- Work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays , Work may be performed in small areas, inside or outside throughout the year, varying conditions of temperature, lighting and air quality.
