Job Details
Dear Margaret is hiring a Sous Chef with at least two years experience. Competitive salary based on experience, PTO and BlueCross BlueShield health insurance available after 60 days, 401k eligibility after 6 months.

Duties include:
  • Work under the guidance of the Executive Chef
  • Assist in training and staff oversight
  • Fill in on the line or expedite when necessary
  • Order, receive, and conduct inventory
  • Contribute to the menu
  • Perform pre-shift with the FOH as needed and maintain open communication during service
  • Contribute to daily reports, team scheduling, recording invoices, and costing out new recipes

About you:
  • Exemplary skills in communication, time management, and problem-solving
  • Leader by example, a desire to learn, and a team player
  • Pride in craftsmanship and attention to the details
  • Grace under pressure
  • A background in classic cooking techniques
  • Competent computer skills (Google suite, Gmail), and experience with Toast, Tock, and 7Shifts preferable
  • Foodservice manager certification required
  • 2+ years experience as sous chef
