Bar Parisette, a regional French bistro and wine bar, is scheduled to launch in June 2024. Our menu will take cues from the neo-bistros of Paris, as well as midwest seasonality, and the broad array of local farms and producers accessible to us in Chicago. While consistently featuring bistro staples and classics, our goal is to take a lighter approach to these dishes, and to keep a focus on featuring vegetables prominently on all dishes. At this time, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated sous chef to join our opening team. The sous chef will assist the executive chef in menu planning, recipe development, and staff training. Other responsibilities include:
- expediting when necessaray
- assist in planning and executing wine dinners, tastings, and other special events
- effectively control food cost by properly managing inventory and ordering
- assist in managing the labor budget
- ensure all presentation and quality standards are met
- teach and retain staff by fostering a healthy enviornment conducive to learning
- Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with all team members, participate in regular management meetings, and conduct pre-shifts.

Qualifications:
- Minimum one year upper level kitchen management (sous chefs)
