Position Overview:
Our Assistant General Managers (AGM) are a crucial part of our operations team, and critical to driving high standards in quality, cleanliness and organization, financial results, culture and hospitality. They are energetic, passionate about the hospitality industry, and care about their teams. The RM position is an entry level management position for someone who wants to develop and grow with 4 Star Restaurant Group. Working directly with their management and hourly teams, they will set a tone of professionalism, teamwork, empowerment, and excellence for everyone.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lives and teaches the Core Values daily
- Available to work days, nights, weekends, Holidays
- Promotes and instills the 4 Star Restaurant Group’s standards and philosophies
- Assist the GM in creating a plan for continued education in each location
- Coach and develop Restaurant managers on the team
- Direct Communication with the restaurants, managers, and team members
- Ensure that all communication from any department head that impacts operations is properly and promptly communicated down to the hourly team
- Highly participates in manager meetings, creating the agenda discussing challenges and coming up with solutions
- Schedule and participate in evaluations
- Direct communication with General Manager about operational opportunities and how to solve them
- Demonstrates a great ability to follow up and follow though
- Organized, thorough, and always looking for improvement

Financial:
- Work with the General Manager to develop sales building strategies
- Work with the Management team to build cost control habits by understanding and explaining the P&L Work with the General Manager on reviewing budgets for their location for every period and quarter Sales Forecasting weekly.
- Adjusting schedule based on sales adjustments Inventory counts and variances.
- Being able to draft up a plan to resolve any issues.
- Able to find efficiencies and purchasing to hit or exceed expectations on Food and Beverage Cost Setting budgets for Restaurant Supplies, Smallwares, Chemicals, and Lines Ability to manage Repair & Maintenance according to budget by maintaining a good cleaning and maintenance schedule for both FOH and Kitchen
- Show the competency to proactively follow up on financial targets and metrics
Operational:
- Ensure that everyone on the team is using and maintaining all operational systems developed and implemented by 4 Star Restaurant Group – it is never ok for anyone in operations to alter/change/delete/add anything to any system created by the company
- Understand, and embrace operational changes to make sure they are communicated and executed with the highest standard
- Demonstrates the ability to handle HR issues swiftly with the help of the GM, DO, and HR department
- Communicates effectively
- Fully understands and complies with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the location, team members, and guests
- Perform building audits every Quarter with the DO. Ensure that all communication from the Audit is shared with every manager. Work with every manager on a plan to resolve any opportunities from the Audit in a timely manner
- Floor presence as a Coach. Move, observe, and coach. Do not get stuck in a station or in an hourly function
- Engage with guests to ensure an excellent visit, feedback and share it with the team
- Drive ticket times in the kitchen and behind the bar to make sure our targets are met
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Assistant General Manager (AGM) experience in a similar fast-paced environment
- Extensive Restaurant Manager experience in a similar environment
- Expert in P&L management
- Exemplifies the Core Values
- Effective communicator, verbally and electronically
- Highly proficient in technology
- Must be passionate about hospitality and taking care of the guest, must be passionate about people development, and must be results driven
Work Environment/ Physical Demand:
Must be able to stand for full shift
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Must have good hearing for accurate communication with guests
Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools controls and type
Must be able to work in areas of loud noises
Required to frequently reach, bend, stoop, and carry
Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments; indoors and outdoors
Must be able to tolerate potential exposure to allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
Dining facilities are both outside and inside Lighting is maintained at a low level
