Padel Haus is New York City's premier padel club. Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world! Its origins are traced back to 1969 in Acapulco, Mexico. Padel is also wildly popular in Spain today with about 20,000 padel courts and an estimated six million active players. Behind football, it’s the country’s second-most-popular sport. Padel's an innovative form of tennis that’s fun, easy to learn and extremely sociable. Played as doubles on an enclosed court about a third the size of a tennis court, groups of mixed ages and abilities can play together. Padel is fast-paced and is often described as a mix between tennis and squash. Scoring is the same as tennis, but is played with different rackets and with lower pressure balls.
Padel Haus is currently in two locations, one in Williamsburg and another in DUMBO. We are seeking juice bar baristas at both locations to assist the Manager of Juice Haus with its daily operations. Baristas will be tasked with ensuring a high quality of service as well as increased customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the preparation of menu items
- General administrative duties delegated by the Juice Haus Manager
- Make and service juices, smoothies, fruit bowls and like items
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment at all times
- Assist members and guests with questions on juices and products
- Dress in clean attire, keep body and hands clean at all times, and keep hair tied back
- May support Front Desk and other departments as needed
- Execute sales using Padel Haus POS system for all transactions
Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be professional and trustworthy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Amazing time management skills
- One year of juice bar, barista, or related food service experience, preferred
