Duties & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Head Barista to take order, prepare and serve hot and cold beverages in high volume in a fast paced environment. Head Barista responsibilities include taking orders, educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, taking inventory and making sure that the coffee machine is working as it should.
To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates or the will to improve your coffee skill. You should be able to work various shifts in a fast paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be passionate, as well as have a positive attitude, flexibility, and clear communication.
Working on week end is mandatory.
KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages and prepared food
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers
SKILLS
- Previous work experience as a Cashier/Barista
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Be detail oriented, passionate about high quality, able to work in a fast pace environment and multi-task
- Ability to problem solve, clearly communicate and maintain a positive attitude on a daily basis
- Flexible working hours, including weekends
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
