The Red Hook Lobster Pound, an acclaimed family owned and operated New England Seafood Restaurant, is hiring a assistant manager to help supervise all FOH operations with our Service Manager. This is a perfect position for a long time a hospitality professional who is looking for the opporunity to step into a management role while gaining knowledge and growth
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and guide all FOH employees
- Provide the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction
- Assist with scheduling and staffing
- Uphold the highest levels of maintenance, cleanliness and sanitary operations consistent with local health code standards. NYC Food Handlers card is a plus
- Provide a positive work environment for all employees and enforcement of company guidelines and legal regulations.
- Assist with the implementation of food and beverage knowledge and training
- Assist with Resy and Toast
- Report directly to the Service Manager and General Manager

Holidays Red Hook location is closed - Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Red Hook locations closes early on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. We believe in work life balance and quality of life. We host 2 company wide parties a year to show our appreication for our team.
This position is 40-45 hours per week with starting pay at $25/hr. This position can lead to managing at our various locations allowing for multi-establishment experience.
A bonus structure will be set in conjunction with goals, such as labor, food and beverage sales, and starts April-Sept.
401K starts after 1 year of employment. Employer matches first 3% then 50% of the next 2%.
Health insurance will be evalutated after 6 months of employment.
PTO is based on performance and evaluated after 6 months of employement.
