Berenjak Borough journeys out of the centre of Tehran and into the rural foothills of the Alborz mountains which surround the city. Guests to the Berenjak Townhouse can expect to find a familiar scene on the ground floor: an open kitchen, where they can take a seat at the lively counter and watch all the action, just as they can in the Soho original. Alternatively, they can ascend to the first floor to find a new Berenjak experience: a traditional Iranian ‘dining room’, where convivial group feasts on large tables are the order of the day.
The menu offers a line-up of celebratory sharing dishes inspired by the large family gatherings of Kian’s childhood, which are exclusive to Borough, as well as the kababs, mazeh, and Persian stews for which Berenjak is best known. The drinks offering includes Berenjak classics, like spiked sharbats, as well as an expanded wine list which showcases the best of Middle Eastern winemaking.
The first floor is available for private hire, when guests can make use of large group tables (one of which converts into a pool table for those who fancy an after-dinner game) and TV screens for streaming football matches, movies, and more.
