Second Daughter Artisanal Bakery

Second Daughter was born from the love of food shared by two sisters. What started as a family bond over recipes and time spent in the kitchen has grown into a business rooted in care, creativity, and community.

Since opening, we’ve been honored with recognition that reflects the heart we put into our work — including being named a James Beard Award semi-finalist for Outstanding Baker, and receiving a Best of Philly nod in 2021 for our brownies.

Going forward, Second Daughter will continue to grow as an artisanal bakery dedicated to crafting thoughtful, high-quality pastries that bring people together. Food is what brings us together as one, and we bake with that spirit every day.
