Read moreGufo, the Coda Group’s (SRV, The Salty Pig) upcoming restaurant is set to open in East Cambridge in early Summer 2023. They are seeking Front and Back of House Managers to add to their team. Gufo (Owl in Italian) is a full-service restaurant by night specializing in handmade pasta, pizza and comforting-yet-inventive antipasti. During the day, they will offer a counter service cafe with coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. The beverage program will feature craft cocktails, a focused list of local beer as well as wine made from Italian grape varietals grown in Italy and the USA.
Gufo is focused on offering the East Cambridge neighborhood a place to meet friends, celebrate milestones, and be with their community. Gufo is excited to be open for our neighbors morning, noon, and night.
The space is meant to induce the duality of fun and comfort. It will bring a fresh take to art nouveau design principles. In addition to ample indoor seating, the space will transform in the warmer months and add a sizable patio that will feature covered and uncovered table service, a bocce court, and an area for outdoor events.
Gufo’s primary goal is creating a space for community through delicious food and drink paired with genuine hospitality. Gufo strives to get back to the basics: great food in a beautiful setting served with warm and genuine hospitality. Potential applicants must embody those qualities and want to be a part of a team that’s primary focus is on our staff and our guests. Remembering names and faces, turning first timers into regulars, and having fun while working hard are our only non-negotiable qualities. Previous experience preferred but not required.
