Joseph Yardley

Former Chef de Cuisine at Agern Restaurant

People inspire me. I continue to work in this industry because of the ability to connect with people on so many more levels than the average job.

Always keep your knives and your mind sharp; you need to be ready at all times.
I encourage my team to invest in themselves by dining out and buying cookbooks, magazines and new tools.
Keeping calm in the most stressful situations is an important skill that any chef or leader should master.
One thing I can’t live without in order to do my job is passion. Passion inspires your team and your guests, and your guests can taste your passion in the dish.
