EDUCATION
Throughout my career, I learned to be precise. Looking up information and working off facts and previous experience goes a long way.
When hiring, I look for motivation. I like when people show initiative and follow up after interviews. No question is a bad question; lots of questions show that you are learning and improving.
For my job, it's important to understand P&L statements, reducing costs and increasing revenues. Another vital skill is elevating the guest experience at every opportunity.
I'm competitive by nature, but I also find inspiration from previous training.
I set goals that are far reaching, I don’t burn out if I stay active.
We keep the team educated through constant staff training from beverage reps (from Diageo and Breakthru) - they have been the most helpful. We also have weekly food presentations reminding staff about items served in restaurant.
We keep the team motivated and inspired by holding exciting events that we cater, from celebrities to sports teams. We also make sure to acknowledge great reviews in our daily pre-shifts.
