Never stop reading good cook books! It's invaluable to your success as chef. You need to stay on top of what's happening in an industry that’s always redefining itself.
Always hire a talent with a great personality; you can always teach them the techniques along the way!
You’re going to be putting in long, physical, exhausting hours along your culinary journey, so don't forget to take care of your body along the way. You’re going to need it!
Get a BA in business administration and work hard for the best chef in the city while you’re completing your degree. This is a great way to learn both the business and operations side of running a restaurant.
