Get involved in your community's local farmers markets. It's where I find daily inspiration for our menus and make lasting connections with the farmers to get the best products our community offers. Also try to visit the farms you source from. It will help you to get in touch with the seasons.

Find your home and make the commitment. It will serve you well.
Never stop reading good cook books! It's invaluable to your success as chef. You need to stay on top of what's happening in an industry that’s always redefining itself.
Always hire a talent with a great personality; you can always teach them the techniques along the way!
You’re going to be putting in long, physical, exhausting hours along your culinary journey, so don't forget to take care of your body along the way. You’re going to need it!
Get a BA in business administration and work hard for the best chef in the city while you’re completing your degree. This is a great way to learn both the business and operations side of running a restaurant.
