I knew this profession was where I needed to be when I skipped Anatomy Class on Valentine’s Day, the busiest night of the year, to go work on the floor in the restaurant. I made sure I got notes from someone else.
The atmosphere in the Back of the House is always full of high energy. I love hearing the laughter, motivation, intensity, and pressure. You will often hear me saying your lead ticket is at 10 minutes, keep it going! What you won’t hear is screaming or yelling.
When hiring I always look for people who are driven, have a passion for the industry, and carry themselves with confidence. The ability to be flexible is also a great skill to have in this industry.
The people I work with and knowing that I'm doing something I am passionate about keeps me inspired to excel. I have found a place where I work with people who I admire and challenge me to be better and where I can motivate, teach, and watch others grow professionally.
My Google calendar helps me stay accountable to myself and my team. I couldn't do this job without it.
