Role & Tasks:
Responsible for creating and decorating creative and appealing cakes and other pastries for sale that meet Whole Foods standards all within a timely manner.
Frost and pipe using buttercream, fondant and chocolate.
Make frosting (buttercream, ganache, chantilly cream, etc.) all from scratch.
Fully stock cases, displays and back stock that coincide with pars and sale trends.
Track spoilage and lowering or raising pars when necessary.
Creating high volume breads and pastries for holidays, weekends and sales.
Effectively managing time throughout a shift to accomplish all tasks and maintain full displays throughout the day on bread wall, breakfast case and display tables.
Training New Team Members and using baking knowledge to troubleshoot issues.
Correctly weighing and calibrating beans, grinders and espresso machine.
Quickly making specialty drinks as ordered and maintaining full pots of drip coffee.
Accurately taking stock and placing electronic orders from multiple vendors using IRMA, DVO, Orderlink while carefully following the purchasing budget.
Complete weekly purchase-to-sale reports and investigating discrepancies.
Neatly putting away and dating products, rotating back stock, and keeping the department clean and organized.
Answering team member questions and talking to customers about products.
Determining specific product production for day and evening shifts.
