Role & Tasks:
As hostess, I greeted customers and assigned them according to server section as well as any request or special needs the customer may have.
On cash register, I would handle one transaction after the next and close checks as soon as possible as to not pile up.
As barista, I made sure refrigerators in my area were stocked and cleaned and set up correctly to prepare to make drinks. Along with refill juice containers, cut fruits as needed and keep a steady fast paced when making multiple drinks at once.
Once I became a closer, I was in charge of tipping the servers out at the end of their shifts, counted the register and made sure all money transactions were correct at closing time,prepare register for the following day and was the last to leave to lock up the restaurant.
I started off as a hostess but we later became short staff so I learned how to work the cash register really well and quickly. I also taught myself how to make all the drinks so I was later also work as a barista. I was then flexible to be put on any of those 3 positions as needed.
