Role & Tasks:
Direct as interim for the regional Director when absent. Direct library staff and volunteers, implement policy and procedures, evaluation of staff members, and designs, develops and supervises proposals for educational and recreational programs. Retrieve data for statistics. Manages budget for the Cabot Library of up to $200,000. Restructure departments and job descriptions as needed to accommodate reforms in the library system. Network with Schools, non-profit organizations and small businesses within the community. Forming partnerships with schools and other entities within the community. Implementing our brand/mission. Develop grants for specific library projects. Manage and implement staff development. Network with other libraries in state and nationally. Instruct patrons on use of eBooks and reference databases. Restructure and enlarge book collection by coordinating a collection development committee. Assembled and completed a strategic planning for Friends of the Library. Launched the CPL Library-by-Mail Service to provide access to library material to homebound and handicap patrons through the free matter for the Blind and Physically Handicap Legislation.
