Hello! Thank you for taking time to view my profile.

I am a motivated 24-year-old professional who is committed to beginning a new career in events and entertainment. I have over five years of experience across the diverse creative fields of public relations, advertising, journalism, event promotions, and multimedia marketing. I plan to use the skills, knowledge, and flexibility I have acquired, combine them with my creative energy, and apply them to a new position in events.

I maintain a sense of curiosity and a healthy appetite for adventure. I believe that if we don't keep our eyes open and stay curious; we will not only close ourselves off to opportunity, but also lose sight of the big picture.

I recently spent six month traveling internationally throughout Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand because I needed to be realigned with my "big picture". I had a great position at a highly respected advertising agency, but due to lack of creative expression in my work, I was not as happy as I needed to be. The greatest test of strength I have ever experienced was realizing I needed change, understanding I could excel in a different field, and doing something about it.

After I returned from my travel experience and started my new adventure in Chicago, my "big picture" became very clear to me. I was able to confidently identify my greatest qualities, and I knew they would serve best in the creative event space. I am a communicator to my very core, I am an innovative thinker, I value every detail, I'm a problem solver, I see everything in a positive light with a touch of color, and I am wildly ambitious. I love working with new people, I'm not afraid to take risks, I'm reliable, and I'm a leader.

I want to pursue a career in events because I want to create experiences. I want to put 110% effort into my work, and be proud of the results because it creates unforgettable moments for others. I want to contribute to the success of a team, learn from my peers, and work in an environment that openly accepts new ideas.

I know I will be successful in my new position, because my drive will not let me fail.

Sincerely,
Rachael Burnham
