Role & Tasks:
Areas of Expertise: Samana, Punta Cana, La Romana, Puerto Plata, and Santo Domingo
Welcome and accompany tours of varying sizes through each designated site and city in The Dominican Republic.
Check groups in and out of hotels, coordinate airport transfers, and manage travel suppliers such as hotels, excursion guides, and transportation companies.
Provide exceptional service to our customers while they are on tour, responding to calls in a timely, professional, and customer-service oriented manner.
Review requests, confirm availability with reservations representatives, and entering confirmations in the system.
Reserve seating for tour group at restaurants, confirm pre-fixe menus or buffet selections, and advise restaurant staff of allergies or pre-orders if necessary.
Reserve tickets for all excursions and ensure services are delivered to tour group.
Maintain familiarity with excursion guides, hotel staff, drivers and services so as to serve as an effective resource for staff.
Ensure all passengers are on the bus on time and keep to itinerary schedule
Ensure that all operational details including timing, schedules, logistics, etc. are all clearly planned, documented and communicated in advance with all appropriate accommodations, transportation, and excursion vendors.
Manage bids for hotel accommodations, liaison group sales managers, and quote transportation companies for pricing.
Develop, implement, and/or experiment with various marketing strategies (i.e digital media, social media platforms, Search Engine Optimization)
Research overall statistics, future forecasts, trends, and travel industry specific information to enhance company growth, expand target markets, and improve services provided
