Tempesta Market, the first brick-and-mortar spin off of Nduja Artisan Salumeria, is opening soon in Chicago's West Town neighborhood. We will be an Italian Deli, Retail Shop and Pop up dinner space. Our Menu will be anchored by our supreme cured meats, our inventory and service proudly reflecting the 5 generations of family craftsmanship that led to this vanguard hybrid food biz.
We will feature a small but focused sandwich, salad and sides menu. We will be making and selling Pasta and Sauces made in house. We will be butchering on site and creating a variety of fresh sausages, pâtés and other charcuterie. We will sell gelato, great coffee and feature a purposefully recruited 'Fine Italian and Local Artisan Pantry' retail section. We are going to be experimenting and looking to expand and grow out of the gate.
In short, we are going to be a 'happening' joint and looking for a few good women and men to help us realize our vision. Negotiations for a second location next year are in final stages. Opportunities for advancement will abound.
The Position -- Line Cook
Description - Tempesta Market will open as a sort of food biz logistical lab where, to some extent, Everybody will do Everything -- there will be a committed portion of the staff focused on prep and the line but we are seeking versatile staffers willing to do some cross-training.
