HOST/HOSTESS Benoit Bistro is a part of Alain Ducasse Enterprise and is currently looking for a talented Hosts and Hostesses.

The Host/ess is the first and last point of contact with the guest and is responsible for setting the stage for exceptional accommodation and organization for the restaurant through, greeting, seated and setting the pace for each service. As well assist servers, bussers, and runners as it relates to guest contact and table information. And helping finish our guests experience with a warm good bye. He or She will may take and confirm reservations over the phone retrieve messages and return phone calls in a clear, concise and accurate manner.

The essential functions include, but are not limited:
Oversee daily restaurant reservations, pre-assigning seating where necessary
Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests – responsible for conveying all such information to management
Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently
Greet all guests with a warm, friendly and professional demeanor
Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend pleasantries

Maintain composure and positivity when under pressure.
Work as a team, assisting with all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries
Maintain positive guest relations at all times
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant

Required education and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
At least 1 year previous experience in related position in a high volume F&B environment
Knowledge of Open Table and/or 7Rooms
Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
A polished and well-groomed appearance
Well-spoken, friendly and outgoing
A highly motivated and energetic personality
Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment and work under pressure
Physical ability to withstand prolonged standing
Be familiar with all local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
