Chicago Chop Shop is seeking an experienced, personable, and knowledgeable sous chef.
We pride ourselves on producing in house pasta from scratch, charcuterie, and whole animal butchery.
The Chop Shop is a unique space wearing many of Chicago's favorite hats. We feature a full in-house butcher and deli operation, two dining areas for our restaurant (upstairs the "Butcher's Brother" (seating 75) and patio (seating 75) and downstairs Butcher Bar (holding 80 people). There is also a multi-functional 6,000 SF event space in back that can hold up to 450 people. The venue hosts concerts, food festivals, and a wide variety of public and private events.
We are looking for a sous chef with 2 years experience or a lead line cook ready for the next step with 5 years experience working a busy line
This is a hands on job, you will be in the "trenches" with all BOH staff, teaching, leading, learning encouraging. This job requires the ability to manage a line, while working on it.
Standard benefits after 3 month, 5 day work week, Sunday plus one weekday off
