To be responsible for all activities related to reservation handling, greeting, seating and farewell in the Fine Dining Restaurant operation as per standards set by the hotel.
To perform friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: greeting, seating and bidding farewell to all guests.
To perform pre-service and post-service procedures as per standards.
To understand and accurately follow the standard of sequence of service.
To understand all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
To be able to explain all food and beverage items listed on the menu.
To have a fair knowledge of wines and spirit.
To confirm reservations and large parties two days out.
To check voice mail on a daily basis.
To have strong telephone etiquette and being able to assist guests.
To have a comprehensive knowledge of the hotel.
To observe and maintain daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in the restaurant, public area and make recommendations for corrections and improvement as needed.
To attend and participate at all scheduled meetings and trainings.
To be able to handle complaints or guests concerns.
To give feedback on guest comments to the management.
To frequently communicate with the Assistant Manager and Restaurant Manager and to maintain an excellent rapport within the entire Food & Beverage Department to stimulate continuous improvement.
To ensure a safe working environment for all employees within the restaurant.
To recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests.
To report employee and guest accidents.
To respond properly to any hotel emergency.
