The Sixteen Restaurant poised inside the Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago, is seeking a Restaurant Sous Chef with Passion, Drive and Enthusiasm. This is an important position for the restaurant and requires one with the natural drive to inspire and lead a team of 20 plus associates while meeting the business objectives of this Two - Star Michelin Guide rated restaurant and Forbes Five Star, Five Diamond Luxury Hotel. The Chef  reports to the Restaurant's Executive Chef and assists with  leading and supervising the quality and quantity of the food offered, as well as coordinates the production as it relates to the restaurant. Furthermore, the Sous Chef will assist with in service education through daily line-ups, quarterly menu meetings; and new server and kitchen staff training programs.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A degree in Culinary Arts and/or a minimum of one to two years experience in a similar role preferred
  • Previous experience in fine dining high volume kitchen is preferred
  • Creative, current on food and industry trends
  • Ability to handle multiple customer and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
