 Boqueria is inspired by the energy of the tapas bars and "Cervezerias" that surround Barcelona's renowned food market. We serve market driven authentic Spanish cuisine in an atmosphere that sparks connections with people, food, and wine. We are currently seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our Brooklyn restaurant team.

The Chef de Cuisine's mission at Boqueria is to ensure consistency in the execution of Chef Marc Vidal's culinary direction while being an extraordinary leader. Additionally, they are expected to foster a culture of passion, excellence and accountability in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:
--Work directly with the Corporate Chef and Sous Chefs to maximize profitability by effectively managing food and labor cost
--Help monitor kitchen standard operating procedures to ensure food safety and consistency with the brands standards
--Ensure DOH standards are always followed, and that the kitchen is ready to get an "A" at any moment's notice! 

Qualifications:
--MUST HAVE at least two years of experience in a Chef de Cuisine role
--Effective communication skills
--Ability to organize, prioritize and anticipate
--Basic computer and written communication skills
--Ability to lead a BOH team and execute seamless services
--Understanding of financial implications of operational decisions (ability to order product and schedule labor within budget)
--Thorough knowledge of food handling practices - must have Food Protection Certificate!
--Culinary skills and knowledge necessary to execute entire Boqueria menu exceptionally
