Upscale American-Asian Fusion Restaurant is looking for an Executive Chef with the following qualifications, abilities, and skills:

 

  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to positively motivate staff members
  • Bachelor’s or Culinary Degree
  • Four or more years of Restaurant and Culinary Management experience
  • Responsible for hiring, training, disciplining, and firing all culinary staff members
  • Able to assist in planning and coordination of all culinary activities
  • Able to create and develop recipes
  • Able to maintain and produce a consistently high quality product
  • Experience in pricing and planning menus
  • Oversee proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ensure safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Serv Safe Certification a plus
  • Experience with food/produce orders and food cost control
  • Experience with labor cost control
  • Able to interact positively and productively with management, coworkers, and clientele
  • Able to make good decisions in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to work long hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights
  • Able to physically and mentally withstand the rigors of the position
