We have a rare and exciting opportunity open at Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak and Bourbon Pub restaurant for an Executive Sous Chef located at the Levi's® Stadium in Santa Clara! The role will work closely with the 49ers and Mina Group team in managing a one-of-a-kind experience for all 49ers and Michael Mina fans. The restaurant is divided into three unique concepts: Bourbon Steak, Bourbon Pub and Tailgate, offering multiple experiences under one roof.
Michael Mina's Tailgate - Inspired by the essence of backyard barbeques with friends on an NFL Sunday, Chef Michael Mina's Tailgate provides an innovative twist to the classic get together.
Bourbon Steak - Features elements of a modern American steakhouse, showcasing creative interpretations of the classic dishes by utilizing the highest quality ingredients.
Bourbon Pub - Offering a casual atmosphere serving reinvented pub fare.
The Executive Sous Chef operates the kitchen on a daily basis with professionalism, respect, efficiency and leads and develops all kitchen staff. Our ideal candidate will have experience managing a high volume, fine dining establishment with a strong background in banquets.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking in a restaurant.
• At least 2 years in a Sous Chef capacity.
• Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, good posture and have required uniform and tools.
• Must display the image set forth by the owner and restaurant philosophy.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (minimum of 12 hours / day).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 60 hours per week.
