Coda di Volpe, a new Southern Italian restaurant in the heart of the Southport corridor is looking for a PM pastry cook. Coda di Volpe is a southern Italian restaurant focusing on the cuisine and libations of Italy’s lesser explored south. The desserts will reflect the soul of southern Italian cuisine and accompany the Sicilian inspired seafood based pastas, full butchery/meat curing program and authentic Neapolitan wood fired pizza. House - made Gelato and sorbet, classic Italian desserts will be produced 100% from scratch. The menu is focused on local and seasonal items and changes frequently.
The pm pastry cook should be able to work well independently and as part of a team. Must have at least two years of baking/pastry experience in a restaurant, or equivalent experience. Restaurant experience preferred. Evening and weekend availability is required. The pm pastry cook will be responsible for plating desserts throughout dinner service while completing a pastry production list. Pastry production includes, but is not limited to: gelato and sorbetto making/spinning, mise en placing out recipes, bread mixing/baking, crostata dough making/shaping, cake mixing/baking, etc.

Please note that this is a full time PM position and requires evening and weekend availability.
