We’re looking for experienced servers who actually love wine to join the Winery team at Red Hook Barrel Yard.

Our Winery isn’t meant to feel like a traditional restaurant or a stuffy tasting room. We want it to be fun, welcoming, knowledgeable, and distinctly Brooklyn - a place where guests can settle in, taste great wine, learn something if they want to, and have a genuinely good time.

We’re looking for servers who can read a table, talk confidently about wine, guide a tasting, make great recommendations, and know when to educate and when to simply pour the glass and let people enjoy themselves.

WSET certification is preferred, but real-world wine knowledge, curiosity, and a desire to keep learning matter just as much.

• 2+ years of experience in great restaurants, wine bars, wineries, tasting rooms, or similar hospitality environments
• A strong working knowledge of wine - grapes, regions, styles, winemaking, and how to talk about them without sounding like you’re giving a lecture
• WSET certification preferred
• The confidence to lead a tasting and make thoughtful recommendations
• A warm, engaging personality and strong sense of hospitality
• The ability to handle volume while still making the experience feel personal
• A team-first attitude - no egos
• Weekend availability

The winery is a tasting room first, and we want the experience to feel that way.

You’ll guide tastings, provide table service, talk guests through our wines and winemaking, make recommendations, and help create the kind of experience that keeps people hanging out for another glass.

We want people who are genuinely interested in wine, hospitality, and being part of building something special in Red Hook.
