Prep Cook – Danny & Coop’s

Danny & Coop’s is looking for an experienced, reliable Prep Cook to join our fast-paced, high-volume kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, efficient, friendly, and comfortable handling large-volume prep while maintaining consistency and quality.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen/prep experience

Weekend availability is required

Fluency in English

Current Food Handler’s License/Certificate

Strong, safe knife skills

Experience executing high-volume prep

Experience receiving and organizing deliveries

Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Ability to stand and work efficiently for extended periods

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Dependable and punctual

Works well as part of a team

Friendly, positive, professional attitude

Responsibilities include:

Preparing ingredients according to recipes, specifications, and daily production needs

Completing large-volume prep accurately and efficiently

Maintaining proper labeling, dating, rotation, and storage of food

Receiving deliveries and checking products for accuracy and quality

Keeping prep and storage areas clean, organized, and food-safe

Communicating with the kitchen team to ensure production needs are met

Following all sanitation and food-safety procedures

Danny & Coop’s is a busy operation, so candidates should be comfortable working with high production volumes and a strong sense of urgency without sacrificing quality or organization.
