Sauvage is a modern french/american bistro on the edge of McCarren Park is Brooklyn. Our food menu focuses heavily on heritage and locally sourced vegetables, grains, meats, game and fish. We believe in sourcing our food products from farmers who use natural and humane methods, resulting in the best product possible. We are currently seeking seasoned cook candidates to join our lunch & dinner teams. NYC restaurant experience is a musts. Looking to hire immediately and our wages are very competitive, as well as our hours.
FULL TIME AVAILABILITY ONLY
-1-3 years of kitchen experience(NYC experience preferred).
-Experience with all kitchen work, including but not limited to sanitation, knife work, vegetable prep, protein prep, produce/herb knowledge and general food safety.
-Ability to communicate with a team and execute a busy service.
-Ability to lift 50 pounds.
-Ability to stand and stay active for long periods of time.
-Maintaining standards of cleanliness and following health code requirements.
-Ability to work weekends and holidays.
-Thirst for knowledge and to continually grow in and with the kitchen crew.
-Timeliness and urgency is mandatory.
