Ikigai is a 10-course Japanese Kaiseki restaurant located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
The shifts are Tuesday–Saturday nights, averaging 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the dining room experience with tasks such as taking drink orders, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting guests throughout service.

Working closely with the kitchen team to provide fluid service that complements the tasting menu.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and teamwork across the dining room.

Participating fully in our team-based service model, including setup, breakdown, and collaborative guest care.
Requirements:
- Ability to explain beverage offerings in a clear, engaging, and approachable way.

Prior experience in fine dining or beverage-focused service strongly preferred.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail, organizational ability, and a genuine commitment to hospitality.

Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
