Mercy Me, part of Unordinary Hospitality Group, is a South American–inspired restaurant, bar, and lounge inside Yours Truly Hotel in DC’s West End. With a 20,000 sq ft banquet space, we blend time-honored Latin American culinary traditions with modern cultural influences to create unforgettable dining and event experiences.
The Role
As a Banquet Server, you’ll bring our signature warmth and energy to weddings, corporate dinners, and social events. You’re front-and-center delivering elevated service on a bigger stage.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide attentive, one-on-one service at banquets and catered functions
- Execute full steps of service: greet guests, offer wine & beverage service, anticipate needs
- Set up and break down event spaces including tabletops, reception areas, food stations, and equipment
- Coordinate with banquet managers, captains, bartenders, and chefs to keep events seamless
- Complete side work and post-event resets efficiently
- Uphold service standards, food safety, and health department policies
What You Bring:
- Experience: 2+ years in banquet, catering, or hotel service
- Skills: Thrive under pressure, sharp attention to detail, adapt quickly to last-minute changes
- Attitude: Team-first, guest-focused, polished professional presence
- Physical: Able to lift/carry trays up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, and stand for 8+ hours
