Job Details
Chulita is looking for a chef or chef consultant responsible for managing kitchen operations, creating menus, and directing food preparation to ensure high-quality dining. Their primary duties include leading kitchen staff, controlling food costs through inventory management, maintaining strict hygiene standards, and developing new, creative recipes. We are looking for someone with elevated fine dining and Michelin level experience and culinary school graduate with at least 2-5 years of experience. 

Core Responsibilities & Duties
  • Menu Planning & Creativity: Designing, testing, and updating menus, creating daily specials, and setting portion sizes to meet clientele needs.
  • Culinary Production: Overseeing all food preparation, seasoning, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Staff Management & Leadership: Hiring, training, mentoring, and scheduling kitchen personnel, including cooks, prep workers, and apprentices.
  • Kitchen Operations & Logistics: Managing inventory, sourcing suppliers, purchasing ingredients, and managing kitchen equipment repairs.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitoring food waste, managing food and labor costs, and ensuring profitability through efficient operational practices.
  • Safety & Sanitation: Ensuring strict compliance with health department regulations and maintaining cleanliness standards 
Key Skills Required
  • Culinary Expertise: High proficiency in cooking techniques and food safety. Graduate of Culinary School with fine dining and Michelin background. 
  • Leadership & Management: Ability to manage high-pressure environments and lead teams. Experience with starting and leading programs from scratch. 
  • Creativity: Developing innovative dishes and following culinary trends.
