Role: Bartender
Reports to: General Manager and Bar Manager
- Rapid preparation of a wide range of drinks, including classic cocktails, call drinks, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Cultivating meaningful interactions with new and returning guests to build rapport.
- Verifying guest identification and managing age requirements for alcohol consumption.
- Efficient use of the POS system to take orders and manage transactions.
- Process payment transactions efficiently and accurately including following accurate cash handling procedures
- Help with the setup / breakdown and cleanup of the bar after and before service.
- Maintaining a clean, inviting bar environment by stocking supplies, polishing glassware, and preparing garnishes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including daily specials, allergens, and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure complete execution of and adherence to proper allergy procedure.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests courteously and efficiently.
- Coordinating with the kitchen and other restaurant areas to ensure guests' needs and requests are met promptly and accurately.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the training and supervision of barback staff.
- Thorough cleaning and sanitizing of the bar area and equipment.
- Adhering to all company policies and health code regulations.
- Participating in the inventory management and restocking of bar supplies.
- Effectively communicate guest issues or operational concerns.
- Follow and execute all side work lists provided by the company.
- Assist team members as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Be well-organized, detail-oriented & socially perceptive.
License Requirements:
- Valid food handler certification
- TIPS Certification
Requirements:
- Have the ability to work fast & efficiently under pressure
- Have the ability to multi-task & handle high-volume
- Must be available to work on Sundays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
