Fortuna is a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant in Manhattan’s East Village. We’re a small, passionate team that takes pride in great food, genuine hospitality, and building something meaningful together.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and personable Bartender or Server to bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine love of hospitality to our restaurant. As a bartender you’re comfortable behind a busy bar, know your spirits and wine, and make every guest feel welcome from the moment they sit down. Servers need to be comfortable managing a busy shift, learning and understanding the menu, and making every guest feel taken care of from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Bar Operations
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant and bar guests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
- Open and close the bar according to established procedures
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
- Support the floor team during service as needed
Server Operations
- Take and deliver orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized section throughout service
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
- Communicate with the bar and kitchen teams for seamless service

Qualifications
- 2+ years of bartending and/or serving experience, preferably in a full-service restaurant or bar
- Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Experience with POS systems
- Fluent in English
