As an Assistant General Manager (AGM) at VERDE NYC, you play a key leadership role in supporting daily restaurant operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences that reflect our brand’s creativity, quality, and energy. You assist the General Manager in leading the team, maintaining operational excellence, and driving a positive and high-performing work environment.
Responsibilities- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house and restaurant operations
- Help lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding dining experiences and exceptional customer service
- Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams during service
- Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and overall restaurant standards
- Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Support inventory management, ordering, and control of restaurant supplies
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are maintained throughout the restaurant
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience
- Assist in achieving operational and financial goals, including labor and cost control
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, health, and food service regulations
- Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Help foster a positive, energetic, and team-oriented work culture
- Previous experience in hospitality management, restaurant supervision, or leadership roles preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to lead by example
- Ability to multitask and manage team priorities under pressure
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
