Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an enjoyable experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, payments, and refunds seamlessly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to serve multiple bar stations efficiently.
- Upsell beverages and promote specials to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed diligently during serving or food preparation activities.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in food service or hospitality environments, ideally with fine dining backgrounds. Experience with POS systems such as Toast is highly desirable. A strong foundation in customer service, sales techniques, and food safety practices is essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent time management skills, basic math proficiency for cash handling and retail math calculations, and knowledge of the food industry standards. Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus. A background in brewing or retail math can be beneficial for managing inventory and sales reports.
