Job Details

Flyfish Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Service Manager to join our team and help lead the day-to-day operations of one of New York's most distinctive private members clubs. This is a rare opportunity for a hospitality professional who lives and breathes the craft — someone who understands the nuance, discretion, and elevated standard of care that defines the private club experience.

The Club Manager will oversee multiple teams and concepts across our Restaurant, Omakase Room, Lounge, and Private Dining Room (PDR), ensuring seamless service and an exceptional member experience at every touchpoint. This person will serve as a visible, present, and engaged leader on the floor — setting the tone for the team and upholding the club's culture of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily floor operations across the Restaurant, Omakase Room, Lounge, and PDR, ensuring consistent and elevated service standards throughout all spaces
  • Lead and manage multiple front-of-house teams across concepts, fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for members during service, anticipating needs, resolving concerns, and cultivating lasting relationships that reflect the ethos of a true private members club
  • Partner closely with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure alignment on pacing, communication, and the overall guest journey
  • Play a leading role in the planning, coordination, and execution of private events and member programming — managing logistics, staffing, and service flow from pre-event planning through final execution
  • Build and manage weekly staff schedules across departments, balancing business needs with team development and labor targets
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and ongoing line-ups to communicate service expectations, menu updates, member preferences, and club initiatives
  • Lead the training and onboarding of new team members, ensuring all staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to deliver at the standard Flyfish Club demands
  • Identify and execute ongoing development opportunities for the team — coaching in the moment, providing constructive feedback, and building a pipeline of strong internal talent
  • Uphold and model service standards on the floor, stepping in when needed to support the team and demonstrate what exceptional hospitality looks like in practice
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including payroll approvals, scheduling, inventory coordination, reservations management, and reporting
  • Monitor and respond to member feedback, working proactively to resolve issues and continuously elevate the member experience
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on operational improvements, staffing needs, and club programming
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of member profiles, preferences, and histories to ensure a personalized and anticipatory level of service

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management experience in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or private members club environment
  • Deep understanding of fine dining and omakase service, private dining, and the expectations of a discerning membership
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams across multiple service concepts simultaneously
  • Strong event production and execution experience, with the ability to manage complex, high-touch events with precision and calm
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with members, guests, and colleagues at all levels
  • A genuine passion for hospitality — someone who finds meaning in the details and pride in the experience they create for others
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage scheduling, administrative tasks, and operational priorities without losing focus on the floor
  • Experience with reservation platforms, POS systems, and workforce management tools
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
