Job Details

Moon Rabbit is seeking experienced, knowledgeable, and hospitality-driven Servers to join our team.

Moon Rabbit is a Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Led by acclaimed Chef Kevin Tien, the restaurant embodies an innovative approach to Vietnamese cuisine, showcasing a menu that is both unique and complex. Chef Tien's objective is to pay tribute to his heritage as a first-generation Asian American, using Moon Rabbit as a platform for expressing his love for Vietnamese culture and food.

Our hospitality philosophy is rooted in making every guest feel like a welcomed friend in our home. We believe service should be warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling rehearsed or formal. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about hospitality and excited to share the story of Moon Rabbit through food, beverage, and meaningful guest interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide warm, gracious, and personalized service to every guest
  • Guide guests through the menu with confidence, knowledge, and enthusiasm
  • Develop a deep understanding of Moon Rabbit's cuisine, ingredients, culinary philosophy, wine program, cocktail offerings, and beverage pairings
  • Execute all aspects of service with precision, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Anticipate guest needs and create memorable dining experiences
  • Work collaboratively with fellow service, culinary, and bar team members
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout each shift
  • Consistently uphold Moon Rabbit's service standards and culture of hospitality
Qualifications
  • Previous experience serving in a fine dining or hospitality-driven restaurant environment
  • Strong understanding of dining etiquette, service standards, and guest engagement
  • Interest in food, beverage, wine, cocktails, and hospitality
  • Ability to confidently learn and communicate complex menu offerings
  • Experience with Toast POS preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and team-first mentality
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.50 - $35.00) plus tips
