Front of House Staff (Seasonal) – Café Van.
The Northman Beer & Cider Garden is hiring organized, energetic, and hospitality-driven Front of House team members for our seasonal café van. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and enjoys engaging with guests while delivering high-quality coffee, ice cream, and limited alcoholic beverages.
If you have quick-service experience and take pride in efficiency, accuracy, and great customer interactions, we’d love to meet you. Serving or bartending experience is a plus, but not required.
Position Details
- Outdoor, high-volume work environment inside our café van mainly serving coffee and ice cream.
- Seasonal role through the end of October.
- Compensation: Minimum wage + tips (average earnings $25+/hour)
What You’ll Do
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate orders
- Prepare and serve coffee and ice cream according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS system and handle cash/card transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café van and guest areas
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues proactively
- Support team operations, including running food/drinks and resetting service areas
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-volume setting
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and team-focused mindset
- Interest in food, beverage, and hospitality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs
- Comfortable working in a compact space (café van height limit ~6ft)
