We are currently looking for an experienced kitchen manager that is passionate about food, and is eager to lead the team in busy Hudson Yards Italian restaurant. Kitchen manager is in charge of maintain a smooth flow of service. Must hold the ability to cover all stations, that include salad, pasta, pizza and fryer. Must also have the desire and skills to train and mentor a team to be successful, and able to cross train various stations. Must also have good communication skills and the ability to work well with FOH to ensure seamless services.
Mandatory requirements:
Open availability, including weekends
Able to lead a team
Knowledge all stations including pizza and pasta
Able to make schedules
Able to do food ordering
Ability to maintain food cost
Have a food handlers license
Maintain the BOH to meet DOH standards
Have good communication skills
Proficient in Spanish is a plus, but not required
