We are seeking an experienced Maître D’ to lead the guest experience at a high-profile NYC restaurant, centered around the energy and cadence of the dinner service. As the first and final point of contact, you set the tone at the door—balancing warmth, precision, and intention while orchestrating the rhythm of each night.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who understands the “theater” of the front door and brings a composed, confident presence to service. You have a natural ability to build new relationships while maintaining existing ones—recognizing returning guests, fostering loyalty, and ensuring every interaction feels personal, seamless, and elevated.
You’ve mastered how to strategically utilize reservation platforms such as Resy and OpenTable, leveraging them to optimize flow, manage guest expectations, create moments of delight and surprise, and support a thoughtful, well-paced service.
You're also passionate about mentoring and developing front door team members to set a consistent standard for hospitality at the door.
