Maydan, a Michelin-recognized restaurant in Washington, DC, invites passionate and skilled bartenders to join our vibrant team. Inspired by the rich culinary traditions of the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus, Maydan offers a unique dining experience centered around the ancient art of live-fire cooking. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, engaging with guests, and ensuring every interaction reflects Maydan’s commitment to precision, passion, and genuine hospitality. Dinner is also served at the bar, making this a dynamic role that blends beverage artistry with a comprehensive dining service experience.
What We're Looking For:
•Experience: Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant or bar environment. Experience with Middle Eastern, North African, or similar regional ingredients and spirits is a plus.
•Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for craft cocktails, unique wines, and a desire to continuously learn and explore new flavors.
•Hospitality: A warm, engaging personality with a commitment to providing exceptional guest service and fostering a communal dining atmosphere.
•Knowledge: Strong understanding of classic and contemporary cocktail techniques, wine service, and responsible alcohol service practices. Willingness to learn about our distinctive beverage program.
•Team Player: Ability to thrive in an eclectic, hard-working, and collaborative team environment.
•Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting where attention to detail and efficiency are paramount.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency.
•Engage with guests, offering recommendations and sharing knowledge about our unique beverage and food offerings.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
•Process payments accurately and efficiently.
•Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
•Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
