Polisher

We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Polisher to join our team at The Blu Box Café. In this role, you will play a vital part in upholding the restaurant’s impeccable standards by ensuring that all glassware, flatware, and service items are flawlessly clean, polished, and presentation-ready. Your work directly contributes to delivering a seamless and elevated dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, polish, and inspect all glassware, silverware, and dining room essentials to ensure they are spotless, streak-free, and meet fine dining standards
• Maintain an organized and efficient polishing station to support the pace of service
• Sort, store, and restock polished items in designated areas for easy access by the service team
• Identify and remove any chipped, damaged, or substandard items from circulation
• Assist with dishwashing operations as needed, including loading and unloading dish machines
• Uphold strict cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in accordance with Health Department regulations and Dinex Group guidelines
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow
• Support additional operational tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-first approach

Competencies & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
• General knowledge of and interest in food and wine, with an understanding of service flow
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management
• Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Clear and positive written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
• Impeccable grooming and adherence to company dress code standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
