Job Details

TOWA, the Kaiseki-inspired Japanese restaurant from HAND Hospitality Group, is looking for a self-driven Sushi Chef to join our hospitality team! We are confident that we can help you reach your full potential with your talent and drive.

  

Qualification:

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Sushi Chef at a sushi counter.
  • Strong verbal communication and organizational skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • In-depth understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow all safety, health, and sanitation regulations.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Preparing traditional Japanese sushi rice.
  • Chopping, slicing, and filleting various types of fish.
  • Placing orders for supplies as needed.
  • Performing other operational duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Since 2011, HAND has actively expanded Korean and Japanese cuisines throughout Midtown, New York. The diversity within our group provides invaluable insight into various Asian cultures, which serves as the foundation for each of our projects. This also enables us to expand and share our community with others.
